Author's Notes: This takes place about a year after the prologue, which took place shortly after Advent Children. Also, I never played DoC, so I tend to mostly ignore its existence.. uhh.. so just, please excuse me if I went against any of its canon.

Summary: Cid Highwind never really liked Rufus Shinra - but a chance encounter forces him to re-evaluate his opinion on the President... even if the results are understandably uncomfortable.
So, Reeve's argument was valid. But that certainly didn't mean Cid had to like it.
