Date: 2009-05-07 12:30 pm (UTC)I got several questions:
1) You said "please follow this format as close as possible" <-- does that necessarily mean we have to do it exactly the way you want us to do it? It seems kind of vague, imo. The "as close as possible' is throwing me off, lol. XD
2) You said "Do not link to other communities. Crossposting is perfectly acceptable." so I'm interpreting that as...you can cross post, but you can't advertise the other comm??? o_O
3) Twice you mentioned "No flames. Concrit only" XD I dunno whether you did that on purpose or not.
4) I noticed that in your other community, you want us to post the actual content in the comm itself instead of linking to another journal. So, does that apply here too?
I dunno, maybe i'm being stupid (it's too early again, 5:30 am), but I tend to look at loopholes.. XD

Date: 2009-05-07 11:29 pm (UTC)1) As close as possible means that some of that stuff probably doesn't apply. I don't want to force people to add fields that aren't necessary. Use as much header as you need to let people know what your post is about. I'm not going to be a nazi about it and delete posts that don't follow an exact format -- but I will add things if they are necessary and missing (ie NSFW warnings).
2) I think I was asleep when I wrote that. It's deleted now, because I hadn't actually worked up my final revision of the rules. I basically don't want this comm to be all link spam. The Crossposting stuff meant I don't care if people post things here they posted in other comms. Again, this crap doesn't matter, so I just deleted the rule.
3) That was a mistake. There's only one now.
4) People can link to their own journals or post the fic in its entirety in this comm. (The other comm is drabbles, which I want to be contained in the actual community. Fic is a different animal, because of many different factors).
Overall, I'm not looking to be a rules nazi (i.e. I don't care about loopholes) -- just want some common sense here. If someone does something way out there or weird, I'll just PM them.

2) Huzzah :3
3) Huzzah once again :3
4) Ahh, got it :3 I can understand the drabbles, since they're short and stuff. :3
XD! Alright. That's cool. :3

Date: 2009-05-07 11:33 pm (UTC)2) Advertising other comms (once per comm) is ok, but if the community turns into nothing but link spam, I'll probably delete them and institute a no-advertising rule. I'm not really too worried about it.
